Government Autonomous College
The College started as Kalahandi Science College from 18th July 1960 continued as a Pvt. College till 30.11.1961 was taken over by the Government of Orissa on 1-12-1961. It was then renamed as Govt. Science College, Bhawanipatna. With its vertical academic growth the College was conferred with Autonomous Status in 2002 and now it has added a new feather to its cap - the status of "College with Potential for Excellence". In 2017 the College is accredited by NAAC with Grade "B+".
