Government polytechnic Rajkot was established in the month of June 1964 by the government of Gujarat with an initial intake of 60 students in  the civil engineering Diploma Course. 

Mission:
By offering quality engineering education for the various diploma courses so that their pass out will match the demand of the industries. These students will fulfilled the need of society and industries by providing excellent quality technical manpower. There is a total quality improvement in turn lead to the techno-economical development.
