Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT)

Overview

Cisco offers five levels of network certification - Entry, Associate, Professional, Expert and Architect. The CCENT certification serve as starting points for individuals interested in starting a career as a networking professional. 

During CCENT certification you will learn the skills to install, operate and troubleshoot a small enterprise branch network, including basic network security. With a CCENT, a network professional  demonstrates the skills required for entry-level network support positions - the starting point for many  successful careers in networking. This course covers networking fundamentals, WAN technologies, basic security and wireless concepts, routing and switching fundamentals, and configuring simple networks. CCENT is the first step toward achieving CCNA, which covers medium-size enterprise branch networks with more complex connections.

You can prepare yourself with self study material provided by Cisco or you can take the Cisco-approved training. 

Exam: To earn this certificate you must pass the 100-101 ICND1 exam.

Further Study:
After successfully completion of this course you can go for the next level of cisco certification and can apply for CCNA.

Eligibility:

For this course, you don't need any specified diploma or degree. But, if you have a bachelor degree then it will be very beneficial for you.
